Choir Rehearsals
will resume on
Wednesday, January 18th.
There will be
a preview session of the Financial
Peace University on
January 4,
6:00 p.m. at the Community Center; January 8, 12:30 p.m. at the
Bloomington Church; and January 11, 6:00 p.m. in the Americas Room
(MSC) at Graceland University. All interested persons are welcome
to attend.
Please reach out to those you think might benefit from this event.
Even if you are not interested perhaps you can view the preview
video and then
think of someone that may benefit from the information presented
by the Financial Peace University course. This is a great outreach
opportunity so please come to view the video and then invite someone
to attend. If you or someone you know is interested contact Kevin
Brunner, ph. 784-8005 or email brunner@graceland.edu,
to sign up and
order materials. Cost for the materials is $100. Scholarship
assistance is
available. The Financial Peace University will begin on January 15,
12:30 p.m. at
the Bloomington Church with a light lunch and then the first session
will follow. The course is 13 weeks.
Aaronic
Priesthood Gathering –
Wednesday, January 4th,
7:00 p.m. at the
Knoxville Community of Christ. The Eastern Aaronic Cluster has invited
all Lamoni area Aaronic Priesthood (southern cluster) to attend this
gathering.
Bishop Jim McKinney will share on Mission Initiatives.
The Lamoni
Congregation Outreach Ministries team will
meet Sunday evening,
January 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the church. We would like for you to be
involved as we
identify our plan for this year. Our selected goal is to identify
and share a personal testimony of Jesus Christ. Being a disciple
of Jesus
Christ includes sharing his message with our neighbors and friends.
The Financial
Support Coalition will
meet on Tuesday, January 10, at 5:45
p.m. at the Community Center. You are encouraged to come share your
suggestions on how we can empower persons in the Lamoni area who
desire to
become financially self-sufficient.
